Education Minister Naftali Bennett visited the Salomon family Tuesday evening to offer his condolences following the barbaric murder of three family members Friday night.

After leaving the Salomon home, Minister Bennett spoke with Arutz Sheva about the terrorist attack and the family's response.

An Arab terrorist entered the family's home as they ate their Shabbat eve dinner and murdered Yosef Salomon (70), and his children Haya (46) and Elad (36).

"The Salomon family is a heroic family. Michal saved the children. Elad fought the terrorist to buy time . Chaya, a teacher, went out and shouted with all her strength to the neighbors - and that is how the five children were eventually saved," Bennett said.

"I'm proud to be part of a nation that acts this way," the Education Minister said. "They are a very strong family."

Bennett later attacked those who accused the government of responsibility for the attack, calling it the result of the installation of metal detectors at the entrances to the Temple Mount. "Those who accuse us of such a thing only create the foundation [for incitement and terrorism] and encourage the next terrorist."

"Our enemy wants to kill us whether there are magnometers or there are no magnometers, whether they have a state or they don't have a state. In 1929 [during the Hevron massacre in which 69 innocent Jews were murdered and tortured] we had no state and we did not have magnometers" Bennett noted. "There is only one thing that matters: We have to be strong."
