Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home) on Saturday night expressed her deep sorrow over the Salomon family's murder.
A 19-year-old Hamas-inspired terrorist entered the Salomon family's Neve Tzuf (Halamish) home on Friday night and began stabbing, killing three members of the family and wounding a fourth. The wife of one of the victims managed to lock her five children in a side room, saving their lives.
"Less than 24 hours after a grandchild was born, the new grandfather was murdered together with two of his children," Shaked said. "The murder interrupted the family's joyful celebration - a celebration of life."
"There are no words to describe this horrific and despicable murder which occurred yesterday in Halamish. The family was massacred by a bestial person who has been brainwashed to hate.
"This sickening and abominable murder did not occur because there are magnetometers on the Temple Mount, and no one should tell you otherwise. I do not remember there being magnetometers on the Temple Mount when the Fogel family was massacred in their beds in Itamar.
"This murder occurred because of the unbridled incitement, which their leaders do not bother to stop. It happened because of the hate taught in schools and in the Arabs' homes.
"My heart is with the bereaved families in Halamish. May you know no more sorrow. We grieve with you and feel your loss."
