The holiday will also be commemorated with visits to Jerusalem by thousands of students from all over the country, and a host of ceremonies including:

* a memorial ceremony at Ammunition Hill in Ramat Eshkol with the participation of President Katzav and other top dignitaries;

* a march and agriculture exhibit by Israel\'s Regional Councils;

* a memorial ceremony for Ethiopian Jews who did not survive the arduous trek from Ethiopia to Israel;

* a flag-march (Rikudgalim) throughout the city, with tens of thousands participants;

* a walk around the Old City gates;

* lectures, singing, and dancing at Yeshivat Merkaz HaRav Kook;

and more.
