The IDF has begun deploying forces in the Gaza region in preparation for a military campaign against the PLO’s terrorist infrastructure in the area. Last night Israel’s Security Cabinet approved an operation in response to Tuesday night’s suicide bombing in a Rishon Lezion pool hall that left 16 Israelis dead. Details about the Gaza plan prepared by Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer have not yet been revealed.

The Security Cabinet also discussed how to punish PLO leader Yasser Arafat for his role in terror against Israel. Several ministers suggested that Arafat be deported but no decision was reached on the issue. This morning MK Michael Kleiner (Herut Party), said that Arafat should not be deported, but instead, should be ‘liquidated’ for being a master terorrist.
