Rina and Amichai Ariel, the parents of Hallel Yaffa Ariel Hy”d (May God avenge her blood), ascended this morning the Temple Mount, accompanied by friends and many supporters.
The pilgrimage occured at the request of the parents, to mark a year since Hallel Yaffa’s murder by a terrorist as she slept in her bed in the family’s home in Kiryat Arba.
Minister Uri Ariel, Amichai’s cousin, did not receive permission to ascend the Temple Mount, but blessed the family and those ascending with them at the entrance, known as “Hallel Gate.”
“Congratulations that you have merited to ascend, and I pray that I will soon be able to ascend with you,” he said.
“We pray here at Hallel Gate in honor of the memory of Hallel Hy”d. This Ninth of Av (which commemorates the destruction of the Temple and other tragedies of Jewish history, ed.) may we not have to mourn and fast anymore, but be happy at the building of the Third Temple,” he added.
