Israeli forces entered Tul Karem - a PA-controlled city on the western edge of the autonomous areas, east of Netanya - for the third time in as many days last night. However, whereas the other two entries were for the purpose of encircling a densely-populated neighborhood known for harboring terrorists, the purpose this time was to round up wanted Palestinian fugitives. Some 43 suspects were arrested by the time the forces left this afternoon, including two who were planning to commit suicide attacks in the coming days and 14 other wanted terrorists.

An elite army unit stopped a truck filled with explosives before it could be dispatched to an underground parking lot beneath Israel’s tallest buildings. The truck\'s detonation could have led to many hundreds or thousands of casualties. At least two Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) members were arrested in connection with the attempt. The Times report adds that officials are not ruling out the possibility that a small plane that entered Israeli airspace from Lebanon last year was on its way to crash into the towers.
