US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley and her Deputy Jon Lerner visited at the Western Wall a short while ago, where they prayed.

Haley received an explanation from Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovich and Chairman of Western Wall Heritage Foundation Mordechai Eliav about the location and its importance to the Jewish people. She expressed great excitement from the visit, while the two Western Wall representatives expressed the Jewish people’s high regard for Haley over her support.

Despite the fact that a special area in the women’s section had been set aside for her by security officials, Haley insisted on praying together with all the other women present at that time in the women’s section.

The women received her with great affection, and she expressed warmth and affection in return: She stood for a long prayer at the stones of the wall and noted her excitement at visiting the holy site of the Jewish people.

After she exited the Western Wall complex, she said, “I am moved by the warm reception that the Israeli public has given me. I don’t deserve it - I just speak the truth. It hurts that only now, after so many years, they’re speaking the truth publicly.”

The Western Wall Rabbi gave her the tunnel walls visitors book to sign. She wrote: “My heart is full, and my life will change after the visit. It was a blessing to experience a holy place with spiritual people full of love. May G-d bless whoever comes to the Western Wall.”
