Chairman of the Yesh Atid party Yair Lapid participated today in the laying of the foundation stone for the new neighborhood of “Yovel” in the Gush Etzion community of Kfar Etzion, and called on the state to set its borders by itself.
“The state of Israel reserves the right to set its own borders in accordance with its national interests, but it is not possible to expel us from our homeland. Because we will always return. We will return after 2,000 years, we will return after 19 years, we will always return. And if we need to wait 50 years to lay the foundation stone for a neighborhood, we will wait 50 years - but the moment will come.”
Addressing the area of Gush Etzion, Lapid said that “The power of Kfar Etzion in the Israeli and Zionist ethos stems from the knowledge at the center of Israeli consensus, regarding which there are no qualifications.”
“We are laying the foundation stone of this new neighborhood together with a definitive majority of the citizens of Israel.”
