A volunteer organization called Ruach Chadashah (New Spirit) is about to soon begin its most important project yet: helping families of terrorist victims. The group, which has been active over the past several months in such morale-raising ventures as the distribution of flags and sending packages to soldiers, now turns its attention to the sector that has suffered most directly the results of the Oslo War.
Arutz-7\'s Ofrah Lax reports that although the victims of terrorist attacks are often forgotten by the public at large after a day or two, the families themselves continue to face the consequences every single day, whether it suffered the loss of a loved one or \"only\" serious injuries. The new initiative will involve adult volunteers who can help families in a variety of ways, such as visits to the wounded, running errands, helping children with homework, and whatever else is needed. Some 30 coordinators are responsible for supervising contacts between volunteers and families, and they will meet with the latter as early as next week to prepare the way for the volunteers to step in and do what is needed. All coordinators undergo a short training course. For more information about the apolitical organization, call Sarit at 053-582241.
