A Bedouin-thrown rock this morning hit and moderately wounded a policeman in his eye. Arutz-7 correspondent Moshe Pri\'el reports that the officer was securing a police operation near the Lehavim Junction when the attack took place. The mission of the over 100-member police contingent was to secure the return of state lands illegally confiscated by, and settled upon, by local Bedouins. Soon after the attack, the injured officer was transported to the Soroka Medical Center in Be\'ersheva. Parallel to the above police mission, another one was conducted in the northern Negev; it led to the arrest of 15 Bedouins suspected of criminal activity.
On Wednesday evening, the Negev District police arrested five Bedouins suspected of hurling rocks at vehicles driven by Jewish motorists traversing the Lehavim Junction.
