Yehuda Etzion, one of the long-time leaders of the campaign to allow Jewish worship on Judaism\'s holiest site, the Temple Mount, is under arrest until Sunday. Etzion, who has been tried and acquitted several times of charges relating to his attempts to pray at the site, was detained for not having shown up for his most recent trial against him on charges of this nature. He says that as long as the Moslem Waqf illegally locks the site to Jews, and as long as Waqf personnel are exempt from Israeli law, he too is not willing to be bound to regulations forbidding him from praying there. Etzion was arrested outside the Prime Minister\'s Office, where he has been holding a protest vigil on this matter for the past two months.
