By a wide margin of 12-3, the Knesset Law Committee approved today a legislative proposal to ban political parties that support terrorism from running in Knesset elections. Likud MK Yossi Katz initiated the proposal in an attempt to prevent Arab MKs from taking advantage of their Parliamentary immunity to express solidarity with Arab terrorism. Arab MK Ahmed Tibi sparred with Katz today on the matter. Tibi said, \"You are attempting to restrain Arab electoral strength. In the next elections, there won\'t be just one Ahmed Tibi, but three of us - I promise you.\" MK Katz said, \"With all your fancy talk, I can tell you that from the minute this law passes, the next time you find yourself praising the terrorists or encouraging them to fight against soldiers, you will find yourself out of the Knesset.\" The bill now moves to the full Knesset for final approval.
