IDF special forces operating near Hevron last night arrested Luaiy Kapisha, a heavily-wanted Tanzim terrorist. Kapisha was involved in many shooting attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. Shortly after the successful catch, the IDF forces ended their 36-hour anti-terrorism incursion into Hevron, even withdrawing from the Abu Sneineh and Haret A-Sheikh hills from which many shooting attacks against Jews in Hevron have originated. The operation resulted in the arrest of 150 Palestinians suspected of participation in terror attacks, including 52 wanted suspects. During the short Hevron offensive, the following weapons were seized: explosives and explosive devices, six M-16 rifles, a Law missile, magazines, ammunition crates, smoke grenades, a hunting rifle, two machine guns and combat vests.

Israeli soldiers identified a cell of three Palestinian terrorists in the midst of attempting to place an explosive device along the Israel-Egypt border last night. The terrorists managed to trigger the bomb while troops opened fire; no Israelis were hurt, but one terrorist was killed, one was captured, and the third escaped. In response, IDF troops and tanks entered a PLO-controlled area of Rafiach in search of explosives and arms-smuggling tunnels. Palestinians shot and threw dozens of grenades at the troops, whose return fire killed two Arabs and wounded two others; the Israelis also arrested four Arabs suspected of terrorist activity.

Another terrorist in the midst of planning a major attack in an Israeli city was captured last night in Kalkilye. Near Tul Karem, four terrorist suspects were captured, and others were also apprehended in other locations in Judea and Samaria.

One Arab boy was killed, and his two brothers were very seriously injured, in a blast near a Bethlehem police station today. PA sources blame Israel for placing a mine there, but it is known that terrorists themselves placed explosives in the area against Israeli soldiers. \"The whole city is full of terrorist-placed explosives on the streets,\" Y.F., a reserve soldier who fought there during Operation Defensive Shield, told Arutz-7\'s Yosef Zalmanson today.
