The IDF this afternoon began to pull its forces out of the city of Hevron. Since the Hevron operation began on Monday, IDF troops detained 210 Arabs including 40 Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Tanzim operatives. In addition, IDF forces found explosive suitcases, Kalashnikov and M-16 rifles, Law missiles and other weapons. Ten Arabs were killed in the operation including one of the Hamas terrorists responsible for Saturday’s attack on the community of Adura, which left four Israelis dead including five-year-old, Danielle Shefi.
Also killed in the Hevron operation were a senior member of the Al-Aksa terrorist Brigade and a member of Yasser Arafat’s Force 17 guard, as well as two aides of the former Tanzim leader in Hevron, Marwan Zeloum. Israeli forces killed Zeloum last week in a pinpointed strike on his vehicle.
Two Arabs were killed this morning by Border Guard police as they attempted to infiltrate the town of Kfar Darom in Israel\'s southern Mediterranean coastal region… A mortar shell exploded in one of the nearby communities… Palestinian terrorists fired twice this morning at Israeli cranes in the industrial center of N\'vei Dekalim in Gush Katif. No one was hurt.
Israeli forces arrested four Arab terrorists last night in a village west of Jenin. Two Israeli-Arab youths from Taibeh were apprehended for planting explosives under an overpass with the intention of blowing up passing IDF vehicles. In the village of Shawarwa, east of Bethlehem six terrorists, including three on Israel\'s wanted list, were arrested.
