Last night Israeli Border Policemen shot and killed an Arab who detonated his booby-trapped vehicle at a checkpoint along the Minharot (Tunnel) road in the Gush Etzion district. The Arab got out of his car and took cover before blowing up the vehicle in an attempt to hurt the Israelis. He then began throwing rocks and other objects at the soldiers.
Early this morning IDF forces killed four heavily armed Arabs trying to infiltrate the Gush Katif town of Kfar Darom on Israel’s Southern Mediterranean Coastal Region. It was the ninth foiled infiltration attack in Gush Katif in the last two weeks.
IDF Soldiers in the Kalkilya area stopped an Arab Red Crescent ambulance for a routine inspection, only to find that one of the crew members was wanted for being involved in terrorist activity. The man was taken into custody, and the ambulance was permitted to continue on its way.
In separate incidents last night, two residents of the Southern Hevron Hills community of Beit Haggai were targeted by Arab gunfire as they traveled near their community… Yesterday evening, Arabs fired at soldiers guarding the Gush Katif community of Ganei Tal… This morning Arabs fired at a motorist in Gaza… Vehicles passing the Israeli Arab village of Jisr a-Zarka, on the northern stretch of the coastal highway near Haifa, came under a barrage of rocks this morning… No injuries were reported in any of these incidents.
Security forces remain on high alert throughout the country as the intelligence community continues to issue warnings of impending terror attacks.
