Last night Israeli Border Policeman shot and killed an Arab who detonated his vehicle at a checkpoint along the Minharot (Tunnel) road in the Gush Etzion district. The Arab got out of his car and took cover before blowing up the vehicle in an attempt to hurt the Israelis. He then began throwing rocks and other objects the soldiers.
Early this morning IDF forces killed four heavily armed Arabs trying to infiltrate the Gush Katif town of Kfar Darom, on Israel’s Southern Mediterranean Coastal Region. It was the ninth foiled infiltration attack in Gush Katif in the last two weeks.
IDF Soldiers in the Kalkilya area stopped an Arab Red Crescent ambulance for a routine inspection, only to find that one of the crew members is wanted for being involved in terrorist activity. The man was taken into custody and the ambulance was permitted to continue on its way.
In separate incidents last night, two residents of the Southern Hevron Hills community of Beit Haggai were targeted by Arab gunfire as they traveled near their community… Yesterday evening Arabs fired at soldiers guarding the Gush Katif community of Ganei Tal. No injuries were reported in any of these incidents. Security forces remain on heightened alert throughout the country as the intelligence community continues to issue warnings of impending terror attacks.
