Yitzchak Pass of Hevron spoke with Arutz-7 today about yesterday\'s targeted-killing of local Tanzim terrorist leader Muhammad Zaloun. Pass, whose 10-month old daughter was shot to death by a Palestinian sniper about a year ago, said,

\"Yes, I certainly knew who he was. He didn\'t fire the bullet that killed Shalhevet - but he was the one who dispatched the murderer, as well as other groups of terrorists. The murderer himself is known and is being intensely searched for, and he is in hiding, afraid to show his face anywhere... We heard the sounds of the killing [of Zaloun] from where we live, and later we heard exactly what happened - it brings great joy to know that such an abominable man has finally received what he deserves.\"

Asked if it\'s true that Hevron is quieter of late, Pass said,

\"Not really. It could be that this is a mistaken impression in the media, but in fact there are always incidents, such as an attempted stabbing on Independence Day eve... Abu Sneineh is quieter, but they still shoot from there every once in a while... It\'s clear that the army must take over that area, not only because it\'s our historic inheritance, but also in order to fortify our security. Unfortunately, places that we leave of our own accord, G-d punishes us and causes us to have to return there \'against\' our will.\"
