Four Arabs, three of them residents of eastern Jerusalem, were killed in a serious accident near the town of Rechelim in Samaria on Saturday night.

Four Arabs were seriously injured in the accident and were treated by Magen David Adom paramedics.

As a result of the accident, the road between Rechelim and Eli was blocked to traffic.

Barak Farkash, a volunteer paramedic with United Hatzalah, said, "When I arrived at the scene of the accident I saw there were two vehicles involved, one of them having caught fire.

“Together with other volunteers from United Hatzalah who arrived at the scene from the communities in Samaria and Binyamin regions, and assisted by medical personnel of the IDF, we provided primary health care to the injured, some of whom were evacuated by helicopter, and some of whom were declared dead at the scene due to the nature of the serious injuries they suffered. Firefighters extinguished the flames and rescued those who were trapped,” he added.

Tomer Fein, a Magen David Adom paramedic who treated the injured, said, "When we arrived at the scene we saw two vehicles that were crushed in the center of the road, with one of them starting to ignite and catch fire. Some of the victims were trapped in the cars while others were lying on the road.

“Four of the victims, two women and two men, were unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing with serious injuries, and after a short time, with the assistance of a military physician, we pronounced them dead. Assisted by IDF medical officers, we provided medical care to four more victims who were unconscious. Two of them were evacuated by a helicopter and a third was evacuated by one of our vehicles to a hospital. The fourth victim, who was conscious, received treatment at the scene and evacuated by the Red Crescent to a hospital in Shechem,” continued Fein.
