Chico Menashe, Director of Reshet Bet national radio, reprimanded the host of the radio show "Hamiznon" over an offensive question he asked an MK from the Jewish Home party, Bezalel Smotrich, on the air.

“I also believe that Yoav Krakovsky’s words were useless and it would have been better if he hadn’t said them at all,” Smotrich told Arutz Sheva.

Krakovsky, who hosts the show and his co-host, Rina Matzliach, mocked Smotrich after he said in a Knesset meeting that homosexual tendency is not forbidden but its fulfillment is. He explained these remarks later, saying that he also has forbidden dreams that he doesn’t fulfill.

Krakovsky began the interview with the question “would you like to share your sexual fantasies with us?” Smotrich retorted without a second's break that his fantasy was that public radio would be fair and balanced.

Arutz Sheva asked Smotrich if he thinks the hosts of the show would apologize, to which he replied, “I have nothing personal invested here, and I don’t need an apology. We just need to make sure it won’t happen again and that they don’t use public radio to embarrass anyone who thinks differently than they do. Today it was me but tomorrow it could be anyone.”

Rina Matzliach does not work at the radio station and was simply there as a guest host. Still, the matter has been brought to her attention as well.
