This afternoon, the names of those killed in the collapse of the Tel Aviv parking garage were cleared for publication: Oleg Yakobov (60) of Tel Aviv, Dennis Decheko (28) from the Ukraine and Ahad Al-Hajj (34) of Beit Rima.
In addition, forces are still searching for three other workers missing under the rubble.
According to assessments, those missing were buried under the lowest level of the parking garage – therefore, searches are being executed in a careful manner with special locating devices, since the general area of the missing workers is known to rescue teams.
The assumption of the rescue teams is that, despite the relatively great amount of elapsed time since the collapse, there is still a chance that the workers are still alive; as such, rescue efforts are being undertaken carefully. If this assumption is proven wrong, then the rescue teams will switch to the use of heavier equipment for cleaning up rubble.
