The Coordinator of Government Activities in Judea and Samaria, Yoav Mordechai and Palestinian Civil Affairs minister Hussein A-Sheikh signed an agreement Sunday to upgrade the postal service in the PA.
The memorandum agreement is designed to enable direct transfer of post from around the world to the Palestinian Authority via Allenby Bridge.
Additionally the agreement enables the PA to calculate and levy terminal dues from foreign postal companies for distributing their post.
At the same time the direct post distribution between Israel and the PA will be upgraded.The Coordinator of Government Activities' Office reported that "With the signature on the memorandum agreement, the sides will start to implement the principles in order to enable their proper execution."
