New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has declared a state of emergency for several New Jersey counties near the shore that are expected to get heavily hit from tropical storms blowing to the coastline on Sunday and Monday.

The storms are expected to include heavy rains and flooding. According to the National Weather Service, flooding would likely begin Saturday night.

In the meantime, swimmers are prohibited from the beaches due to the heavy winds and strong water currents.

The storm is expected to hit New Jersey and Delaware on Sunday and Monday. Forecasters warn of damage to buildings near the coast as a result of the massive floods.
