Belgian police shot and wounded a woman who wounded three people in a bus station in Uccle, a suburb of Brussels, Belgium.

The woman attacked passengers as they disembarked from a bus in Uccle at around 5 p.m. local time. Three people were wounded, two seriously.

Police cordoned off the area.

Police opened fire after the woman refused to surrender, shooting her in the arm. She has been transferred to a hospital for treatment.

The woman is reportedly mentally ill, and of Asian descent.

Circumstances of the situation are being investigated.
