Transport Minister Yisrael Katz of the Likud denied reports of a quarrel between him and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
"No one is threatening me and no one is telling me off. If I would have thought for a moment that the meeting was called for that purpose, I wouldn't have gone. If there were threats and pressures, they were probably created in cyberspace by various media cronies in order to create a certain impression," Katz told Army Radio today (Thursday).
He added that "when there are disagreements we know how to deal with them while continuing our activities to promote the countries interests."
Yesterday Katz and Netanyahu met for a reportedly harsh conversation, following the Likud party secretariat's decision to transfer some administrative authorities to itself. Authorities that were previously in the hands of the party Chairman: Netanyahu.
The pair arrived at a compromise according to which the secretariat will be reconvened to repeal the decision, while a special committee will be set up to examine possible changes in the party's administration.
