The wedding Yonatan Sindel/Flash90

Meir Pavlovsky, who was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack in Kiryat Arba ten months ago, married his beloved, Katya, yesterday in front of the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Last October an Arab terrorist stabbed Pavlovsky (31) in the back several times while the latter was on his way to synagogue in Hevron. He was quickly evacuated to the western gate of Kiryat Arba, where he received medical treatment in the field, and was later transferred to the trauma unit in Sha'arei Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem.

For several long days he fought for his life in the hospital, and when he triumphed and was eventually released, he took Katya to the place where he was stabbed, and proposed to her.

"We're very happy that we've merited building another family in Israel," the groom was quoted as saying in Yediot Aharonot, "this is like our 'little revenge' for the terror we went through. With God's help we'll keep getting stronger.

The wedding was officiated by Rabbi Dov Lior, formerly Rabbi of Kiryat Arba. Also in attendance were MKs Motti Yogev and Yehuda Glick.

Another guest at the wedding was Shuki Gilboa, the member of the security squad in Kiryat Arba who was wounded while neutralizing the terrorist who murdered Hallel Yaffa-Ariel two months ago.
