The European Union Parliament urged EU governments yesterday to consider imposing economic sanctions on Israel. The move comes as Israel continues to refuse to end its war against terrorism in the PLO-controlled areas. The non-binding parliament vote passed by a count of 269 to 208, with 22 abstentions. Israel currently enjoys free trade with EU countries, and Israeli products are easily accessed throughout European markets.
