In May 2016, the average wage (adjusted for current values) rose to 9,507 shekels ($2,478) per month, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics. Jobs in the market stood at 3.479 million.

Of all jobs measured in May, 33% had a higher-than-average wage, while 66% had a lower-than-average wage.

From March to May, the number of jobs increased by 1.2 percent for the year, following an increase of 2.4 percent from December 2015 to February 2016.

The nominal average salary rose approximately 2.1% from March to May, following a rise of 3% per annum as measured from December 2015 to February 2016.

The real average salary, in comparison, rose some 2.7 percent from March to May of 2016, following a jump of 4 percent per annum, as measured from December 2015 through February 2016.
