National board members and officials of the Bnei Akiva youth movement have published a "kol koreh" (a public message for its members) calling for a respectful public discourse.

Many signed the document, including Head of the Bnei Akiva Yeshivas Rabbi Haim Druckman, Chief Rabbi of Ramat Gan Rabbi Yaakov Ariel, Chief Rabbi of Kiryat Shmoneh Rabbi Tzephaniah Drori, and the Secretary General of Bnei Akiva, Danny Hirshberg.

The signatories "call on the public, it's leadership, spiritual guides, educators, public figures, and the media, to conduct public discourse, especially of sensitive topics - with responsibility and mutual respect."

The document, circulated among thousands of Bnei Akiva members and their families, begs "for an appropriate discourse...as one would have between brothers and family members, which allows us to discuss our stances, and clear views...in order to add light, loyalty, and love."
