Contrary to the Israeli Government resolution that Arafat is \"irrelevant,\" and in seeming contrast to Sharon\'s call yesterday to the Palestinian populace to develop a new leadership, the isolation of Arafat is apparently over - and he has become quite \"relevant.\" He remains unable to leave his Ramallah compound, but Israel has decided that in order for the PA to accept a ceasefire, he will be allowed to meet tomorrow with four PA leaders. The four include Gaza leader Muhammad Dahlan. In addition, US Secretary of State Powell has also said that he expects to meet with Arafat later this week.
