The family of Elor Azariya, the soldier on trial for fatally shooting a neutralized terrorist in Hevron, is reaching out to the public on the public on the "Headstart" website with the purpose of raising four hundred thousand shekels to help fund legal costs.

"I turn to you, precious mothers, from mother to mother, please help me bring my child home," wrote Azariya's mother. "We sent our son to serve the State and the State abandoned him.

"How can one abandon a soldier that gave himself for the State? It's been three months since my son has been with me," the mother added through tears. "The child of my old age is not with me because he did what he was supposed to do. I love him."

Azariya's father, Charlie, noted that "the legal expenses are enormous and we can't afford it. We just want the truth to come out, we want our son home. Today it's my son, tomorrow it could be your son, or grandson or great-grandson. I just hope to God that more tragedies won't happen like this."
