The IDF is in the process of withdrawing its forces from the cities of Kalkilye and Tul Karem this morning, in accordance with a decision last night by Prime Minister Sharon and Defense Minister Ben-Eliezer. The army was ordered to \"tighten the closures around\" Kalkilye and Tul Karem, following what the security cabinet called \"the completion of IDF action in these cities.\" The decision comes only hours after U.S. President George Bush made his strongest statement yet demanding an end to Israel\'s anti-terror offensive. U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell said this morning that the withdrawal was \"encouraging, but not enough.\"
