An Islamic Jihad terrorist was killed during a "training session" in northern Gaza Monday, while "carrying out combat duties."
The group identified the dead terrorist as 32-year-old Mazen Loulou.
Two others were wounded.
Witnesses told AFP that the blast occurred on an Islamic Jihad base east of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
The group prevented journalists from accessing the scene of the explosion.
"Work accidents" kill terrorists in Gaza on a regular basis. Many of these incidents occur during suspicious activities, e.g. digging terror tunnels or paramilitary activities the group wants to hide from the mainstream press.
