As we go to press, IDF tanks and machine guns are still pounding away at the Palestinian Counter Intelligence Agency building in Bitunya, where PLO Military Chief Jabril Rajoub is holed up with at least 150 (possibly hundreds of) terrorists. Over the last three days, IDF troops avoided entering the building despite clear evidence that wanted Arabs were inside. The terrorists there are responsible for recent attacks which claimed the lives of 48 civilians and wounded over 250, including many Jewish children.
The PLO troops hiding in Rajoub\'s headquarters refused to surrender to the IDF which in turn issued an ultimatum demanding the laying down of arms and turn over of all terrorist elements inside. The deadline of the ultimatum passed and at 1:30 this morning, combined ground and helicopter forces began firing missiles and shelling the building. The ongoing explosions are clearly audible in northern Jerusalem and in the Binyamin region to the north.
