A Pegasus Airlines flight from Istanbul was stopped on the runway at Ben-Gurion airport Saturday night, the Israel Airports Authority (IAA) stated, after a mistake during landing nearly endangered the flight.
The flight, with 176 passengers on board, cleared the runway and was taxiing when it took a wrong turn - from a landing and arrivals runway to a takeoff and departures runway.
The flight was halted immediately, and all passengers and luggage were unloaded for their safety.
Over the next few minutes, the plane was dragged to a parking port and will be checked for damages.
The incident will be investigated.
