An IDF soldier reported that he had been stabbed Monday morning at the community of Tzur Yitzhak, near Kokhav Yair in Israel's central Sharon Region.
The soldier was left with light stab wounds to his upper body, and was evacuated to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba for treatment after receiving first aid at the scene.
Police are now investigating the possibility that the soldier lied about the incident and injured himself in order to make it seem believable. They are still searching for a perpetrator but have not yet found evidence suggesting that a second party was involved.
