This morning, another Palestinian terrorist entered Netzarim, just north of Gush Katif in Gaza, and stabbed to death two worshipers on their way to holiday prayers in the local synagogue. The two murdered victims were Tuviah Vizner, 79, of Petach Tikvah and Michael Orlinsky, 70, of Tel Aviv, both of whom were visiting their children for the Pesach holiday. They were buried today in the Segulah Cemetery in Petach Tikvah.
The residents denied media reports that the terrorist was a long-time worker in the town who managed to smuggle in a knife despite security checks. They said that no workers entered this morning, and that in addition, his identity was still unknown. Army forces pursued him for over six and a half hours and finally killed him.
Around 2 PM today, yet another Palestinian suicide terrorist - a 16-year-old girl from Dehaishe - blew herself up inside a crowded supermarket. Two Israelis were killed, and about 20 wounded were evacuated from the site under pouring rain. Security forces did not allow onlookers to approach the site, fearing that another bomb might go off. They then searched cars, bushes, and other areas for other explosives. The terrorist\'s family began celebrating upon hearing the news, including greeting visitors and distributing sweets.
In Netanya, just minutes after well over 200 guests had sat down for the ritual Passover Seder in the Park Hotel on Pesach night, 22 of them were murdered and over 150 wounded when a terrorist detonated a bomb inside the hall. The Hamas terrorist managed to enter the building despite the presence of an armed guard at the front door, and set off his powerful explosive containing over 10 kilograms of explosives and metal pieces. Many of the casualties were caused by blocks of concrete falling from the ceiling, walls collapsing, and windows blowing out. The wounded were transported to eight hospitals. About 50 people remain hospitalized, including about 15 listed in serious condition.
