Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home), told Army Radio during an interview on Wednesday morning, that her party leader, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, has demanded that every member of the cabinet from both the political echelon and the security echelon take a polygraph test in order to determine who was leaking classified conversations.
Bennett had previously been accused of leaking cabinet conversations and apparently demanded the move be taken in an effort to clear his name.
According to Shaked, the Prime Minister refused the demand. “Minister Bennett demanded from the Prime Minister that a polygraph be taken of each and every member of the cabinet on both levels, from all of those present as the cabinet discussions are really important discussions.”
Shaked explained the motive behind Bennett’s demand. “It is important that everyone feels that they can state their position without worrying that their comments will be leaked. I believe that if such a leak exists, then it is certainly important for it to be investigated and not simply heap accusations on an innocent person.”
