Almost two months after former MK Yinon Magal (Jewish Home) resigned form the Knesset, police are recommending the investigation into sexual harassment claims against him be closed.
A spokesperson for the national police said the investigation into the claims that Magal sexually harassed numerous women was being closed. The harassment claimants accused Magal of the harassing them before he became an MK. Magal subsequently resigned his position as a member of Knesset following the allegations.
During the investigation testimonies were taken by many people who were said to have witnessed the events in question and Magal himself was interrogated.
At the culmination of the investigation police were of the opinion that there was not enough evidence to press criminal charges against Magal. The case is being handed over to the Tel Aviv District Attorney's office, who was conducting the investigation together with the police.
