Bezeq, Israel\'s largest phone company, is giving its customers a Passover present: 20 free minutes of \"Happy Holiday\" calls, with no strings attached. Any Bezeq phone line from which calls are made to another Bezeq line will automatically receive credit for the gift. Bezeq says that this is its way of allowing as many Israelis as possible to wish one another a happy Pesach.
Bezeq has also applied for a rate-change which will effectively increase private users\' phone bills while lowering those for businesses; the Knesset Finance Committee has postponed discussion of the issue until after the holiday. The Consumers Council has asked that the rate-changes be rejected.
