Education Minister Naftali Bennett (Jewish Home) addressed the growing feud between himself and the Defense minister Moshe Ya’alon (Likud) in the wake of how to handle Arab terror attacks across Israel.
“The greatness of any leadership system lies in its ability to renew its axioms. This is part of our soul. The security of the citizens of Israel depends upon it," he said. "It is therefore imperative to hold a conversation that gets to the depths of the problem and not deal with problems that some people may have with another individual. Together we can move cities.”
Bennett made his comments during a conference held by the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel, and the Jewish National Fund (KKL).
Bennett also added to his earlier comments about changing the thought process behind national security decisions.
“We have the best and most creative minds in the world, right here in Israel. We only need to utilize them. We have revolutionized science, the hi-tech industry, We are in the middle of revolutionizing education, and I say to you that it is possible.”
