An IDF soldier was lightly wounded during an operation to arrest wanted terrorists in Tulkarm overnight Tuesday.

The terrorists opened fire at the troops who were conducting the arrest operation. The soldier who was wounded was taken to the Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.

The soldiers responded by firing towards the shooters, who fled the scene. Security forces are conducting searches in the area in an attempt to locate the terrorists.

In another incident that occurred last night (Tuesday) at around 8:30 p.m., terrorists threw firebombs at an Israeli vehicle at the Rehelim junction in the Shomron (Samaria).

There were no casualties but the vehicle sustained damage.

The latest incidents followed the arrest early Tuesday morning of the 16-year-old Palestinian Arab terrorist who murdered Dafna Meir in Otniel on Sunday night.

The arrest came more than a full day after the heinous attack that killed Meir in front of her children.

The terrorist, who lives in one of the Palestinian villages nearby, was identified as 16-year-old Murad Bader Abdullah Adais.
