Meretz head Zehava Galon has criticized Israel Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman for his recent comments against extreme leftist organizations.

"With my full desire to remain 'politically correct' and to be police, there are things that you must say honestly: As far as I'm concerned, these two bodies are not about free speech, but greed," said MK Liberman. "They are no different from Udi Adiv or Mordechai Vanunu - we are talking about pure treachery."

He added: "It cannot be allowed that, during Operation Protective Edge, B'Tselem and Breaking the Silence looked for incriminating material against IDF soldiers. Precisely during the mission, they were giving this information to our worst enemies. This is unacceptable."

Galon responded, saying, "You presence as an opposition MK is a double absurdity: once because your actions qualify you to be a natural partner of the Netanyahu and Bennett's thieving government, and a second time because you are still not in prison."

Liberman then shot back: "Zehava Galon certainly represents the traitorous organizations in the Knesset and so she cries out to protect them with stupid and meaningless comments."
