23-year-old Israeli Esther Kleiman was murdered this morning when Arabs fired at the bus in which she was traveling near the community of Ateret, north of Jerusalem. Kleinman, was a resident of the Shomron community of Neve Tzuf. She worked as a special-education kindergarten teacher in the Shomron community of Ofra. Kleinman, will be laid to rest later today in her home community. She is the third Neve Tzuf resident to be killed during the current war.
After the attack on Kleinman, IDF soldiers in pursuit of the terrorists came under fire. A gun battle ensued and one soldier was wounded lightly before troops were able to kill one of the terrorists. The other Arabs involved escaped into a nearby PLO controlled area. Israel radio reports that the dead terrorist was a Palestinian Authority policeman.
