Prime Minister-elect Sharon will have a talk with Shas party head MK Eli Yeshai today, and will also begin meeting with the Likud’s other 18 MKs this afternoon. Limor Livnat is said to be interested in the Ministry of Education, Ruby Rivlin - Justice, and Silvan Shalom and Meir Shetreet in Foreign Affairs and Finance.

MK Amir Peretz, head of the 2-seat Am Echad party, says that Sharon invited him last night to join a unity government, and that he will do so if the government pledges to pass a series of social laws. Peretz said that Labor members have pressured him not to join Sharon’s government, in order to form a block against its formation.
