Prolific pro-Israel activist and philanthropist Rubin Margules held a special gathering in his Brooklyn home this week, where he hosted former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee

Arutz Sheva attended the event to understand the close links between Huckabee and Israel.

"Governor Huckabee has been there for us," Rubin, who is heavily involved with the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) and Ateret Cohanim, stated. "And when I'm talking about us, I'm talking about the community, about klal yisrael, about am yisrael."

"He's a mensch," Rubin continued, adding that Huckabee "speaks better about Israel" than some American and Israeli Jews.

Rubin praised Huckabee for not only visiting Israel's major cities, but also Judea and Samaria.

"He does not call it 'the West Bank'," he noted. "He calls it, as we noted, Yehuda and Shomron."
