Palestinian Arab terrorists threw rocks at a Magen David Adom (MDA) ambulance carrying a patient along the road from Ma'ale Adummim to Jerusalem on Monday night, cracking the windshield and endangering all inside.
Miraculously, no one was harmed during the incident.
"When I was traveling with a patient on the Jerusalem-Ma'ale Adumim road near the village of Issawiya, rocks were thrown at the ambulance, and struck the windshield and cracked it," Yitzhak Goldfarb, the driver, stated to the press. "I drove on for another kilometer and stopped when I saw a Border Police officer."
"The patient was very distressed, and we had to wait for another ambulance to take him [to hospital], because the ambulance was not fit to drive," Goldfarb added. The patient was eventually stabilized and transferred successfully to hospital for treatment.
MDA CEO Eli Bin called for a sharp and serious response.
"I consider this a very serious incident, a deliberate attempt to damage a vehicle designed to treat and transport the wounded and sick," Bin stated. "We are confident that security forces, who are operating around the clock, will catch the perpetrators and the hope that the other side will act decisively and firmly to prevent similar incidents in the future."
