One Israeli has been seriously injured in a stabbing attack in Hevron, as he was visiting the Cave of the Patriarchs - the burial site of Biblical forefathers Abraham, Sarah, Yitzhak, Rivka, Yaakov, and Leah.

Initial reports say that a Palestinian Arab terrorist walked up to a Border Police checkpoint in the city and began to stab a civilian.

Security forces at the site shot quickly to eliminate the terrorist, who was eliminated.

Magen David Adom (MDA) medics treated the injured man, who is in his forties, and transferred him to Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem in serious condition. He is suffering stab wounds to his upper body.
