Israeli security forces shot and killed a Palestinian rioter attempting to breach the Gaza border late on on Friday during clashes.

Salame Abu Jamaa, 23, was shot in the head during the riot east of Khan Yunis, Hamas health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra said.

The Israeli army confirmed they had shot a terrorist, saying they responded after Arab attackers tried to breach the buffer zone between Gaza and Israel.

"The forces called the perpetrators to halt, followed by warning shots in the air, and upon the suspects' continued assault, forces fired toward a main instigator, confirming a hit," a spokeswoman told AFP.

Friday saw several attacks by Palestinian terrorists against Israelis, beginning with an attempted car attack by a Palestinian woman, who attempted to run over soldiers near Hevron. Forces shot her dead, and managed to escape unscathed.

Shortly afterwards a terrorist carried out a stabbing attack at Sha'ar Binyamin, north of Jerusalem, which left an Israeli man seriously wounded.

At around the same time, Arab rioters clashed with security forces near Psagot in Samaria, close to Ramallah. Forces responded with riot control measures.

On Friday evening, two shooting attacks targeted Jews in Hevron, leaving three people injured.
