Israel will not be deterred by the current terror wave, Culture and Sport Minister Miri Regev said on Tuesday as she visited the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council.

"This is my first tour as a minister," Regev said, "and I deliberately chose to hold it in Judea and Samaria."

"The communities in Judea and Samaria in general and in the Binyamin region in particular are of paramount importance," she added, noting that she will continue to act for the benefit of these communities.

Regev further noted that "this wave of terrorism is not about any issue, not about Yafo or the Temple Mount. This wave of terror is more about who is the landlord of this country - Jews or Palestinians. [Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud] Abbas is continuously exposed with his lies and hypocrisy."

''We will continue our quality of life. We will continue to sing, we will be everywhere in this country. Terrorism will not defeat us," she declared.

The head of the Binyamin Region Council, Avi Roeh, discussed the security situation and said, "We have been touring the Binyamin region since the morning and heads of the councils in Yesha have joined us. There is no doubt that the tour itself is a statement that we are with continuing with our daily lives despite the attempts of the Arabs, terrorists, and the support of the PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas and yesterday, of Jibril Rajoub, the Palestinian sports minister, in permitting the killing of IDF soldiers and Jewish civilians.”

Roeh stressed, "These things will not hurt the fabric of our lives, we will continue to sing as Minister Regev said, we will continue to exercise and do sport activities along with women, children and our parents, because we have no other country. Judea and Samaria will continue to build and grow and we also hope the time has come to apply the Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria."
