The Palestinian BDS National Committee is calling on its followers to show a "wave of solidarity with Palestinian Popular Resistance" [sic].
A statement on the movement's official website praises the "new generation of Palestinians... rising up against Israel." While it does not ask sympathizers to carry out attacks themselves, it does tell them to support the "uprising."
At first glance, this call appears to run counter to the BDS movement's frequent claim that it only supports non-violent means of isolating Israel and Israelis. However, Arutz Sheva has already documented the group's history of encouraging non-violence while still threatening attacks.
The campaign is already drawing attention through its hashtag, #SolidarityWaveBDS. Some of the posts under the tag include "Cleveland supports the Palestinian Intifada" and praise for the "popular resistance."
